Often people will ask me: "How is the crime in this neighborhood?" By law and ethics, I am not allowed to answer that question. To ensure that my clients and other interested parties can have an opportunity to see for themselves what is going on in any neighborhood, I point them to the Tucson Police Department's website.
TPD has done a great job of formulating statistics city-wide...even putting them into map form that one can roam at will and zoom in on areas of interest. Nice Job, TPD!

Kent,
Wow! I get to comment first, if someone else doesn't write "great post" while I'm typing. Seriously, this is a wonderful Localism post, and an educational one at that.

Thanks Mike - I appreciate your feedback (and congrats on being 1st...again LOL)!
Don - thanks for the comment. I'm finding that more and more very useful information is being provided online by communities, counties and other governmental bodies.
BTW--I'm with ya on Kansas! Rock, Chalk, Jayhawk!
That is a really good idea and like Don, I will probably post a link like that as well. I live in Gilbert and I know I have looked up the crime analysis several times. Its always just nice to know.
